Sudarshana Chakra Workshop & Yajna (Fire Ceremony)

--- a 4 hour class & 4 hour fire ceremony---
The Sudarshana Chakra is the power of the fully enlightened mind.   In Scripture and allegory, the Sudarshana Chakra is most often represented in the  sometimes gory battle-scene depictions of the “disc of Vishnu” weapon possessing limitless power to instantly destroy all ignorance, evil and enemies of Dharma.  According to the Lakshmi Tantra the Sudarshana Chakra can be fully developed using Sanskrit mantra with the assistance of divine grace and utilized to defeat all ignorance, all delusions, all karmas.

As taught by Namadeva Acharya, developing  the potencies of the Sudarshana Chakra through Sanskrit mantra can be done using either simple or very long mantras or the option of vedic fire ceremonies (yajnas).  Sudarshana Chakra disciplines can be extremely purifying and accelerate one’s spiritual growth.
Part 1 consists of instruction and group chanting. participants will learn:
·  The role of Sudarshana in the power of manifestation (ie Kriya Shakti)
·  Stories of the origin and nature of the Sudarhana Chakra
·  Why scripture teaches that Lakshmi is the power of Sudarshana
and that all shaktis, all weapons and all the acts of Vishnu arise
    from Sudarshana
·  Relation of Sudarshana to Sahasrara (Crown) Chakra
·  The bija mantra of the Sudarshana Chakra
·  Several Sudarshana Chakra mantras from the Laksmi Tantra
·  The Long Sudashana Chakra Mantra
·  The relation of the Sudarshana Chakra & Kalachakra (Wheel of
   Time) according to several scriptures
·  A Sudarshana classic mantra discipline (updated by Namadeva
    in 2010)
Participants receive a detailed handout and audio recording of all workshop mantras.
Part 2: The Sudarshana Chakra Yajna (fire ceremony)
When Namadeva Acharya began performing this extremely powerful fire ceremony around 2005, it was largely unheard of in North America, and is still quite rarely performed.   This Vedic fire ceremony uses the power of the Sudarshana Chakra to aid in overcoming karmic blocks that stand as obstacles to our objectives.  With group participation, seven mantras, including the powerful long Sudarshana Chakra mantra, are chanted while offering ghee into the fire.   The process invokes the tremendous spiritual force of this ‘weapon of Vishnu’ which is focused and magnified to empower each participants’ intention.
Note:  This workshop requires use of an outdoor space.

The Sudarshana Chakra: “ is the highest emblem of the raw power to protect and destroy, attributable to this great being (Vishnu) who manifests in every true teacher of spirituality… It is the quintessential kriya shakti (power of manifestation)”, per Namadeva Acharya,  The Ancient Power of Sanskrit Ceremony, Vol II, page 211.
